5 months!

Well our sweet little girl is now 5 months old. We went to the Dr. today for her 4 month apt and shots etc. She is growing and looking great - just like Ori she is small but growing just as she should! She was so good I was so amazed. I usually dread taking them to get shots - well I always dread taking them for that - but she was so good, just after she had them she cried for like 30 seconds literally. Then I was holding and cuddling her and she stopped! Ori used to carry on for 30 min or so it hurt him so bad. She is so much different in personality then he. So smiley, she was smiling through her tears today just after the shots. So cute.

sad day...

so tonight Orion wanted to sleep in his big boy bed again (we are averaging every other day or so) and he had me come in (normally we cuddle till he falls asleep) tonight he had me sit at the end of the bed. He wanted me there but didnt want me to lay down with him, he wanted to do it himself. (sigh) I love that he is growing up into such an independent self sufficient boy. Some days I think he could raise himself lol, he is so grown up all the time, he takes care of Aurora all the time, if she spits up and I haven't noticed he runs and gets a rag and wipes her face for me. This is just one example of what a little "man" he is turning into. However, I do miss how much he used to need/want me there all the time. When he first started sleeping in his own bed I was like, "oh I miss my baby", granted I have another baby to cuddle with and a husband who I miss cuddling with every night lol but I will miss my little boy. I know this is cliche but they grow up so fast! I cant believe the changes he has made just since Aurora was born. He is a great boy and I felt/feel so blessed tonight as I watched him sleeping and now as I write this post. Sometimes I wish time would stop... I guess we all should take a little more time to enjoy all these little moments. I know I just run run run and I want to remember this time with them, but for now my little two year old boy put himself to sleep in his own bed.

Growing up -

I cant believe how old Orion looks in these pictures with his hair done. We decided to try to do his hair differently today - I dont normally do it really because he is all over the place and its pointless but I thought it would be fun today. I am usually ok for a couple of hours if I do it just before we leave the house lol. He looked so cute, I had to take some pics.

Though he is growing - his love for driving cars on the couch is still there. I dont know if that will ever change, I think it will always be a fond memory for us about him.

Big boy bed...

So tonight I was getting ready to put Ori to bed and he asked if he could sleep in his big boy bed... ugh ... YES lol. He was pretty cute about it and said he wanted his fishy light on and then he went right to sleep within 5-10 min. I love it. He loves to cuddle at night so I usually lay down with him, and then he went right to sleep. I will keep you posted on his progress during the night and if he actually stayed there lol.

Food Poisoning?

Ya totally fell asleep on the couch reading his book this afternoon. How cute.

So I am wondering if my little boy has food poisoning or if he has the flu again. Last night at 12ish he woke up from a dead sleep crying and then throwing up. It was kinda sudden and he continued to throw up a couple of times an hour until 6:30 am. He stopped and since then he has been acting like himself. He slept until 9 or so then woke up and has been bouncing of the walls ever since. He hasnt thrown up anymore but his appetite isn't quite back to normal yet. I am just praying this is over and he is feeling better. Sweet kid, he is still to young to tell me when he is about to throw up so last night each time he would just say "oh Mom, no no no no no" it just broke my heart. He wanted me to make it stop :( I am just glad he is feeling a bit better. He is still way tired though as you can see, I was finishing some cleaning in the kitchen I came into the living room and found this.

Valentines...

Orion made these Valentines today - what a cutie. He worked very hard on them and each time we started a new one he told me just who they were for. We have one for Ike (his buddy Isaac) Steve and Daddy. So sweet.

Last week I was cleaning the kitchen waiting for Dustin to come home from work, and he came in with these! It was just the thing I needed to brighten my day! I LOVE flowers, any kind any time! So I just snapped a few pics. Thanks sweety for thinking of me.

woo hoo, birds....

So Granny Lisa took Orion to her school while she did some work a few weeks ago, and he saw a man with a parrot (macaw to be exact) oh his sholder. Orion was amazed and was talking about it after for a while, as soon as he got home he stuck his arm in my Canary's cage lol and said "mere birdy". I dont know if you know this, but canary's aren't meant to be held, they have very weak hearts and can die with too much commotion - they are meant to sing - and sing he does. However, I also have a parakeet who is a sweety, so we have been working with him to learn how to hold outside the cage. This parakeet (Philo) NEVER bites but flies all over while you are trying to hold him. Anyway, its getting better and better and here are some pics. I absolutely LOVE this one.

Work

So I was doin some homework last week and Ori was playin with his cars in the other room. He came in like this and said "Bye Mom, i go work". Everyday when Dustin goes to work he packs his computer bag up and puts on his coat. You will notice Ori has his "computer bag" fill with his drink, phone and a few toys, and he put his coat on all by himself lol. I guess Daddy just needs his phone, drink and a few toys to have a good day at work ;) too cute.

Long week
