Best Buds

The nightmare bathroom...

This is our nightmare basement shower. I ripped out the old prefab corner shower before I was pregnant with Aurora. Then I ripped out all the moldy and yucky surround sheet rock etc. So my poor brother had no shower the entire year I was down with Aurora, then he left on a mission and now we are finishing it lol. Sad. Anyway here is a pic after all is ripped out and we started re-building.
The trap here comes out of the wall instead of the floor due to our genius previous owner who remodeled the basement ugh and in order to do it the "right" way it cost a ton of money and diggin into the foundation - no please ....
This is all the garbage from ripping everything out... yuck.

This is the new floor frame I built around the drain, I added a bunch of floor space,
and prayed it would be what we needed.I decided it would be fun to have it be a rain shower, so I had the plumber come in and rout stuff where it needed to be for that to work.
Then I poured the floor, that was a fun job 7 months pregnant lol. After this it became a huge family job... Doug and Janae came to help us with the sheet rock a bunch of times, and poor doug suffered some battle wounds... we are so thankful they came to help though.
My brother and Dustin both worked endless hours to get it all framed in... it was crazy and I wasnt much help at all being as prego as I was.
This is the floor tile we chose, I think it really looks great with the wall tile we chose

We had someone come in to start tiling last week after I did the floor.. . It is looking great and we are really excited.
I will post final pics later tomorrow if I can, he has been working hard and this was a rough job...lots of small cuts and crazy angles. I am going to tile the floor when he is done then we just need to paint! yay. Only took us a year or so lol.

Cute baby Rora, I had to put these on because I just thing they are so cute.

This pictures is her personality all the way. This is Aurora, she is sweet and happy almost all the time. She is our social butterfly and is so fun to have around. She loves Orion and things he is the coolest thing since sliced bread, its fun to watch their relationship bloom.

Oh silly things we do...

So I thought I would blog about my sprained wrist. A few weeks ago I was getting tile for our bathroom downstairs, and as I was lifting the big box out to put on the cart I kinda lost my grip and then grabbed it again, hearing something pop in the process. This was bad and I felt the pain right then, I came home and took some pain stuff, and then proceeded to complain to Dustin about how bad it hurt. It was driving me crazy the next day so I went in to make sure it wasnt broken, I was having the hardest time lifting the baby etc. It turned out to just be a really bad sprain and "significant ligament damage" according to our Dr. So I had to wear this great contraption the next two weeks, however, by the time we got to St. George I was determined to golf so, yes, I took it off to play lol. It didnt hurt too bad till later that night lol. Now I am pretty much back to normal, I feel a twinge every now and again, but its feeling pretty good.
