Bedrest AGAIN!

Well I thought since I was lying here in bed again I should try and update the blog on Aurora's development over the past week and a half.
Last friday night the family got together for Steve's B day dinner at a beloved Japanese restaurant by our house. As we were getting ready to go I started really having strong and steady contractions. I kinda brushed them off as Braxton Hicks because I had been feeling them a lot for a week, thought not steady. So at dinner I started really timing them while we ate and talked, they were about 10 min apart and pretty strong strong enough to get my attention while talking to the fam. When we got home I continued to time them an this lasted about 3-4 hours, at which point I called our Dr., who also happens to be Dustins Dad and Stepmom. His Dad is an OBGYN and Raquelle is a Midwife CNM, so I was able to reach them on their vacation and on friday night, thank goodness. They decided because of my history of coming early with Orion (just three weeks mind you, not 8) to put me on some meds to slow down and maybe stop contractions. I started these late Friday night but the contractions continued through the weekend strong and 10 min apart. We went in to be looked at on Monday and as it turns out I am 3cm dilated and 80% effaced and in early preterm labor! GREAT!
So, they decided that it would be best to stand me on my head and try to defeat gravity. They gave me a few shots of meds to help with the contractions, which doesnt stop them, but it is supposed to make them ineffective. Meaning instead of all the muscles working together to push baby down, they are sporadic and end up pushing all around instead of down. They decided our goal is Sept 10th and I am on strict bedrest until then.
Two weeks doesnt seem like that long compared to 5 months of bedrest in the beginning, however, my cute sisters wedding is on Friday the 5th and my brother and sister are getting their endowments out on the 3rd. I have been looking forward to both of these events for so long. I am going in again on Monday and if I haven't progressed any further then I think they will let me go to the sealing ceremony on fri since its not usually too long and I will be sitting. So, keep your fingers crossed for us, again.
The good news is that Aurora looks great, she is estimated to be 5lbs 1ounce last mon. She is very active. I had a steroid to help her lungs progress at 28 weeks because of what happened to Orion so that is a really good thing now that it looks like she will be coming even earlier then he. She is just very anxious to get started with her life I guess lol. I must say I am excited to meet her, and I am counting the days till I can stop these meds and get out of bed again lol. It was fun while it lasted ;)

Happy Birthday Orion!

I cant believe my little baby boy is 2 years old!! He has changed so much and is such an amazing joy in my life.
So we were going up to see Dustins family on Orion's Birthday and its been so crazy lately we decided to just have his birthday at Chuck E Cheese by our house. We had some family and Ori's best bud Isaac come and play and eat pizza! He had SO much fun! He totally loves to go to CEC. I got a few cupcakes from the store and we had a blast watching these two little boys play and eating pizza all together. Here are a few pictures.

Isaac really wanted to help Ori open presents and since Ori is still figuring out that its ok to rip the paper etc it worked out great. They were too cute!

Isaac loved the frosting, Orion was too busy going on rides to be bothered by cupcakes lol.

Once he opened this dump truck thats all he wanted to do ha. He is so funny.

Uncle joe having a great time! Thanks for commin Joe
It took Isaac a while to be comfortable with the animatrons that were there dancing and singing, I must say they do really need to be updated they do kinda look scary, Orion loves them but Isaac wasnt too sure until the end when he was brave enough to venture closer.

So for Dustin and Orion they get to celebrate their birthdays for a few days after - because we have so much family. After Chuck E Cheese we went to Dustins Dads for the night where Ori got a new Trike, then from there it was off to Dustins Moms where got this awesome new Train that goes by itself on the track. He is really into trains and trucks right now. He loves it. Thanks everyone for celebrating this special time with us, we love you all and we are all so thankful to be blessed with so many people who love us.

The Call...

The call finally came last Thursday for Steve. I have to say it was pretty surreal. When the big envelop arrived it said to Elder Steven Jon Radulovich it was pretty amazing. We were all so nervous to see where he would be spending the next two years! I had Micki record the calling at the bottom to put on here for memory sake. He is such a great person and I am so proud of him to be making this decision and going through with it even though he is pretty much petrified.

This is about 4 minutes because we are dumb and didnt find the actual call letter for a minute lol. So if you would rather not wait I will put the rest of the information at the bottom of this post. The others in the video are our new step brother and sisters Joe, Susie (her husband Ander) and Katie, then me and Mic. Way to go Steve - I am going to miss you like CRAZY!!!

The call was to Raleigh North Carolina and he leaves November 19th - We are happy to finally know where he is going and he has started to research the area. He actually already knows a few people there. So let us know if you know anyone who has gone there or is going there. Thanks.

Baby Aurora - 31 weeks!

Ok so here is our last ultra sound from about 3 weeks ago! This is baby Aurora - again. She is getting a lot bigger and everything looks great. I know these are a little hard to see and I scanned them a little crooked, but in the pic below her head is on the right and she is facing the front. You can see both her eyes and her nose and mouth. Its funny and I know this sounds crazy but she looks like Orion to me already - I think its the bone structure they have the same shape head and cheeks. Only time will tell. I am getting more and more excited with everyday that passes. My fears are starting to subside and the thought of having a new precious gift is coming more into view.
This is one of the 3d images they take now - with Orion we were never able to get a really good one because his hands were always right in front of his face - she is kinda the same way. This is the best one I think they are a little weird to look at and kinda scary looking sometimes lol but its fun to imagine what they may look like. Again she seems to have the same cheeks as Ori.

Its so crazy because I have done this before, the whole have a baby thing lol, but this feels like the first time again. I am nervous and excited and its so fun to see/feel her moving and though I am not the most comfortable and easy to be with person right now I feel like a new Mommy again. As for Orion - he is getting so big and saying more words. He still doesn't talk a ton... well of English that is... he has his own language and I am learning it lol. I always say he speaks Klingon and is bilingual :) We watched our neighbors new born for a little while about a week ago, her name is Baby Jill (at least thats what we call her) and Orion truly surprised me. The whole time she was here he sat on the couch next to me and looked at her eyes, nose, hair, mouth, fingers, toes he was amazed by her and really wanted to hold her. So I let him hold her for a second and then she got a little fussy so I started walking around with her, he followed me everywhere and kept saying "Mom" and motioning for me to give her to him. He just knew he could fix it and wanted her back. Lol what a little Mr. Mom, I was relieved to see he wasn't jealous at all, he just wanted to take over and take care of her. He cried when they took her back home. Lol what a fun memory for me, I have been so worried and that helped so much. I know he wont be like that the whole time with Aurora but it still helped me calm down a bit.
