Micki's Mad Hatter Shower!

Happy wedding day Micki! So my sister is getting married in September and I am really excited for her and Seth. You two are great for each other and we love you both! I threw Micki a shower with a Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter Tea Party theme. It was a blast and we had a great turn out! Thank you to everyone for coming on such short notice! We were so happy that Gammy and Monica could come and thanks to Lori and the girls for makin the drive all the way down for the party! (Thanks for all your hard work doin dishes too Court!) Here are a few pics my brother was nice enough to take real quick at the party.

This is my first Towel cake! I had so much fun doing it. It is two bath towels on the bottom then two hand towels then two wash cloths! It was way fun and I think it turned out pretty cute! lol. A little lop sided in this picture but at least it fits in with the mad hatter theme ha.

Yes he pwn's n00bs...

He is a total gamer ... I am in BIG trouble lol. I was doing some editing/wedding stuff on Dustins computer (which is kitty corner to Steves computer) and so I decided to put him here for a second. He knew exactly what to do with the headphones and the mouse but he is actually playing Elmo's keyboard-o-rama. It was just too dang cute to pass up and not catch!

Our 4th of July holiday...

I know I am way late to be posting these lol but it seems like things are busier then ever lately. So, I thought I would get these on. Of course I didnt have my camera ...but I did have my phone!

Orion loved the sparklers and all the fireworks. He would make me put my hands on his ears for some of them though but he reacted much better then I anticipated. For some reason I thought they might scare him, but I was wrong he had a ball.

These are some pics taken earlier that day while we were waiting for family to come over for fireworks, so my two boys decided to do some snakes and poppers while we waited. I kept looking out front and this was view I had ... so cute!

More fun in the sun...

Here is another one of those incredible fun toys our neighbors pulled out. The two boys were a little scared of this one - it was kinda high and fast with the water on it and they couldn't really climb up on their own. They still had a blast though, Orion loved it and get lots of exercise. I sure am enjoying this summer, YES its HOT and YES our air conditioning is running non stop it seems like, and YES I feel like a beached whale BUT Orion is having so much fun playing everyday out in the sun, he is so fun to watch with all his water toys. He and his buddy next door Issac have so much fun runnin around. I will really miss the sun when the yucky weather comes again it does something to me - I always say I am solar powered, I feel so much better when it is sunny. Dont mind the prego women out in the front yard with her jammies on lol.
Ori gettin ready to rock and roll - he was way excited.

ok he is drinking the water in the pic above. No matter what I do he drinks the water wherever he is - bath, pool etc. I have to watch him so closely and sometimes I just throw my hands up and say whatever dude. (I think its partially fun because mommy freaks out, ya know).
Cheesy smile.

The New Car

Since we sold the Montero Sport, it was time for the Dibble family to buy a new car. We had been looking and dreaming for a while now, and this is one of the only cars we could agree on. So last Tuesday we went and bought a 2007 Dodge Caliber. When Brandi first mentioned that she liked the Caliber, I said: "There's no way that I am buying an American built car, let alone a Dodge" However, after 2 test drives and much internet research, I decided that it was reliable enough. Plus we have almost doubled my MPG. Our monthly payment is more, but our insurance and gas costs are much less. It looks just like the one in the photo.

I get some looks when I tell people that we bought it from Dollar Rent-A-Car. I know, I know all about it. Jeff Foxworthy said: " Buying a car from a rental company is like going to a house of ill-repute to look for a wife--If something has been driven that hard, by that many people, you really don't wanna be sticking your key in it." However, what most people don't realize is that dealerships buy cars from rental companies every day. The day we were there, LHM bought 7 cars. When we picked up the car, Dollar had sold 3 more Calibers to other dealerships, and I'm sure they'll be marked up pretty heavily. So your used car has at least a fair chance of having been a rental in a former life. Anyway, we are really happy with it so far, and it's fun to drive.
